UFO Magazine, issue No 4, 26 January 1999. The article entitled
"An Incident at the Air Base in Italy" says the following:
"The Italian UFO researchers have received two strange
photographs. They were made by an eyewitness of the unusual
incident: he had noticed a spherical UFO flying over a local
air base. Two fighters took off from the runway to intercept
the UFO. The pilots opened fire immediately and the UFO began
falling in the direction of the place where the witness was
standing. According to the latter, the UFO crashed 200 m away
from him and exploded. Having rushed to the scene of the crash,
the eyewitness discovered the body of an alien astronaut covered
in bad burns. The alien's costume had been melted by the explosion;
the fingers and the digits had been burnt. It is a good thing
that the man had a Polaroid camera and used it to take pictures
of the creature. The Italian ufologists have examined the photos
and made a conclusion that the alien's body is likely to have
been faked. However, they will only be able to arrive at a definite
conclusion when the circumstances of the incident at the air
base have been cleared."
Our answer: the thing one can see in the picture has nothing to do with aliens. It is a nice fairy-tale that has been invented.
