This picture shows spiral shock waves generated by three-dimensional modeling of an accretion disk - a substance spiraling down onto the compact central object which can be a white dwarf, a neutron star or a black hole. Such accretion disks supply energy to the sources of X-radiation in our Galaxy. They are formed inside double stellar systems composed of a donor star, that provides the accretion substance, and a compact object whose powerful gravitational field attracts the substance to its surface in the end.

Answer - we can see the energies that go into the corridor of connection between the Galaxies. They go away to alienate life in space.
