In the NLO (UFO) Magazine, issue 20 as of May 17, 1999, in the article by Edward Mirovv “An Emergency on the Riga Airfield” there is the following information. “The film group headed by the film director of the Riga Film Studio Viktor Dudinsh was preparing to film a gala flight of a new model of interceptor. It was August 1968, on one of the airfields of Riga. The order to take off had been given but the plane stood still! And a few minutes later the radio connection with it was lost. Then an object appeared from behind the clouds. It shocked the public. The soldiers started running away! In different directions, to hide from the sudden fear. Dudinsh looked into the lens – the object was framed. He pressed the button, fixed it with a match and… ran away to hide. For almost 20 minutes the object made manoeuvres above the airfield and then disappeared suddenly. And the fear passed immediately. The authorities confiscated the videocassette and asked Dudinsh to forget about it. Only several decades later the film was finally found...” |
